Privacy Policy
App: ToVue (the “App”)
Established: September 28, 2026 / Last updated: October 4, 2026
ToVue (“we”, “us”) sets out this Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) for how the App handles users’ personal information and data. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.
1. Our Approach
The App does not send or store your data on any server we operate. The App has no backend server, and no account or sign-in. It never uses GPS and never asks for your location. It contains no analytics SDK.
The free version shows ads from Google AdMob, but the App does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and requests only non-personalized ads (see Section 6).
2. Information We Handle
The App handles the following information only as needed to provide its features.
(1) Settings on your device
- Settings such as flight speeds, One-Hand Mode, display (labels, mini map, capture buttons) and captures (place details, sticks, mini map, logo, frame rate, resolution)
(2) Map display and place search
- The visible map area, the virtual camera’s coordinates and the search terms you enter
- These are virtual positions you choose, not your actual location.
(3) Captures (photos and videos)
- The photos and videos you create with the App
(4) Purchase information
- The status of in-app purchases (Apple-signed transaction records on your device). Payments are processed by Apple (App Store); we do not receive or store credit card numbers or other payment details.
(5) Advertising information (free version only)
- Device and app information, IP address, ad display and interaction data, and your consent choices. Google processes this information (see Section 6).
(6) Contacting us
- Your email address, message and attachments when you email us
3. Purposes of Use
We use this information only to:
- Show maps, search for places and show the place name under the virtual camera
- Save and restore your settings
- Create photos and videos and save or share them the way you choose
- Provide features unlocked by in-app purchase and decide whether to show ads
- Serve ads in the free version and manage consent as required by law
- Answer your questions and resolve issues
4. Where Data Is Kept
| Data | Location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Settings | On your device | Never sent off the device |
| Photos and videos | On your device (only while previewed) | Passed only to the destination you choose in the share sheet |
| Purchase status | On your device | Checked against Apple’s transaction records at each launch |
| Map area, coordinates, search terms | Apple’s servers | Sent to Apple for maps, search and place names |
| Advertising information | Google’s servers | Free version only; under Google’s policies |
| Messages to us | Our Gmail | Kept only as long as needed to respond |
The App never sends this data to a server we operate.
5. Sharing and Third-Party Services
We do not provide or sell your information to third parties, except as required by law. To work, the App communicates with:
- Apple Inc.: maps, place search and place names (MapKit), and in-app purchase processing
- Google LLC: ad delivery (Google Mobile Ads SDK) and consent management (User Messaging Platform), free version only
- Cloudflare, Inc.: hosting of public pages, including this one, and forwarding of emails sent to our contact address
- GitHub, Inc.: hosting of the redirect pages at our former address (9ura00.github.io)
6. Advertising and Tracking
- Without the purchase, the App uses the Google Mobile Ads SDK and Google’s User Messaging Platform.
- Where required by law (for example in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland), a consent form is shown. You can change your choice later with Ad Privacy Choices in the menu.
- The App does not ask for App Tracking Transparency permission and does not use the advertising identifier (IDFA). It requests only non-personalized ads.
- Even for non-personalized ads, Google processes data such as device and app information, IP address and ad interaction data for delivery, frequency capping, fraud prevention and measurement. See Google’s Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from partner sites.
- The App never passes your virtual flight position, place names or search terms to the advertising SDK.
- While the purchase status is being checked, and once a purchase is verified, the App does not start the advertising or consent SDKs and requests no ads.
7. Photos, Videos and the Photo Library
- Photos and videos are created on your device and exist only in the preview until you choose to save or share them in the share sheet. The App never uploads them.
- Saving to the Photo Library requires your permission. The App never reads the contents of your Photo Library.
- Virtual place names, coordinates and altitude appear in captures only when that setting is on. Your actual location is never included.
- People who see shared photos or videos may be able to tell which place was shown.
8. Retention and Deletion
- Deleting the App removes all settings stored on your device.
- Photos and videos saved to the Photos app or elsewhere, device backups, and records held by Apple and Google are not removed by deleting the App.
- Messages to us are kept only as long as needed for support, security and applicable legal obligations.
9. Your Rights
Depending on local law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or complain to a supervisory authority. You can change your ad consent in the menu, and stop ads with the purchase. For information processed by Apple or Google, you can also contact them directly.
10. Children’s Privacy
The App is not primarily directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. The App sets the ad content rating to “general audiences”.
11. Security
The App uses HTTPS for communication and relies only on Apple-signed transaction records to determine purchase status. However, no transmission or electronic storage over the internet can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. International Data Transfers
Because the App uses Apple and Google services, data may be processed on their servers outside your country of residence. That processing, and the related retention periods and safeguards, follow Apple’s Privacy Policy and Google’s Privacy Policy.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may change this Policy when needed. Significant changes will be announced on this page, and where required by law we will give additional notice or ask for consent. If you continue to use the App after a change, you are deemed to agree to the changed Policy.
